Menifee Home Rehabilitation Programs

The City of Menifee in Southern California offers one-time grants (Minor Home Rehabilitation Grant Program) of up to $10,000 to eligible senior citizens, permanently disabled persons, or permanently disabled persons from the immediate family of the applicant residing full time in the residence, for eligible home repairs.  No repayment is required.  Additionally, income eligibility requirements apply (annual gross income cannot exceed 50% of County of Riverside Median income).

Menifee Government

The City of Menifee is governed by a Council-Manager form of local government.  The City Council creates the policy for the City, while the City Manager, who is appointed by the City Council, acts as the executive director of the City.

The City of Menifee contracts with the Riverside County Sheriff to provide police service for the City.  Captain John Hill is the acting Police Chief for the City of Menifee.

Shelter Location Hours:

Open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Open Wednesday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Emergency animal services are available 7 days/week, 24 hours/day.  AFV can answer emergency calls only within Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Wildomar, Menifee, Murrieta, or Temecula city limits. For after-hours emergencies, call  951-506-5069. (For emergencies in county  areas, call 1-888-636-7387.)

  • Adoptions:  Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Relinquish animals:  Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Reclaim animals:  Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Licensing:  Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Lost, Found or Surrendered Animals:

If you find a lost animal or need to surrender your own animal, please take it directly to the Ramona Shelter located at:  690 Humane Way in San Jacinto.  If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at:  (951) 654-8002.

Local Animal Shelter:

Shelter services are provided by the County of Riverside Animal Shelter in San Jacinto.  Any stray animal that is picked up by animal control is taken to the County Shelter:
